Marriage Survival Kit Poem

This is a good list from several real weddings to start your emergency kit; but know your bride, know your groom, know your bridal party and add to your emergency kit based on their tendencies.

If you have a bride that gets hurt a lot, a well stocked first aid kit may not be a bad idea. If a groomsman has weak nerves, an extra shot of vodka may not be a bad idea. Bottom line is, plan for the worse. If you end up not needing an item, awesome, but it is better to have something than to be scrambling around trying to find something when everyone is already stressed out.

Marriage Survival Kit Poem

This Survival Kit was made just to say, I'm thrilled you're beside me on my wedding day!

There's chocolate to give you that sugar high and a packet of tissues in case you should cry.

Lip gloss to help you care for your smile. If a nail should break, I've included a file.

There is Shout if you should spill on your dress and lifesavers to keep your breath minty fresh.

There's Aleve and Tums if it's ill that you feel, and Band-aids to help you tackle high heels.

I've put everything in this handy pack, so you'll know that this bride has got your back!

This kit was created so that you can see, how much you mean to the bride-to-be!

Chili powder…to keep things spicy

A lollipop: to help you lick your problems, no matter how many there may be.

A rubber band: to help you to remember to be “flexible” in all things.

A paper clip: to help you “hold it all together.”

A stick of gum: to help you stick together

A safety pin: to help you “pin-point” your problems, the better to solve them!

A Lifesaver: to keep you from drowning in everyday problems.

A lemon drop: to remind you that “when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade”

A penny: to give you extra cents (sense) to know which battles are worth fighting, & which are better ignored.”

Button: to remind you that sometimes you need to “button your lip”.

Tootsie Roll: to help you roll with the punches.

Mint: to remind you that you are worth a mint to each other..

Kristy from Yahoo Answers!

I would include serious and funny items:

- Earplugs because sometimes you just can't listen to anymore nagging/snoring and they're cheaper than bail
- Tylenol to cure her "headaches" and his aches and pain after she hits him (haha!)
- A pair of taper candles and a lighter for an instant romantic dinner (or to help when the power goes out or to light up their lives when they can't pay the electric bill!)
- A Kama Sutra to keep things exciting
- A book of clean jokes to keep them laughing
- A list of decent plumbers, electricians, yard guys, cleaning ladies, etc in the area you can recommend to help them out and have mroe time for each other
- A pair of nice watches so neither of them is ever late for a date
- A calendar with important birthdays and anniversaries marked (including theirs!) so they don't have to forget
- A bottle of wine or champagne for celebrations, maybe some flutes or glasses with it
- A First Aid kit to patch each other up
- A box of generic mixed greeting cards so neither gets in trouble for missing a birthday/anniversary or "I'm sorry" moment
- A list or local area guide full of free/low cost events they can attend together
- Tee shirts that say "Mr." and "Mrs." for lounging
- A book about massage technique since they both work so hard and can use a massage every now and then
